Folks with dry skin are supposed to choose ingredients very cautiously in order to moisturize and hydrate their skin. Having dry skin can be infuriating at times but if you moisturize it in the right way and hydrate it with the right ingredients there will be nothing to worry about. I have listed below a few masks with turmeric that will give you hydrating, supple, smooth, soft, and glowing skin.

Turmeric, Milk cream, and Honey Face Mask.

  1. Combine together wild turmeric powder, honey, cream, almond oil.
  2. Make a smooth thick paste and make sure no lumps are formed. Make sure the consistency isn’t runny.
  3. Apply this pack all over your face and neck and keep it on for 15-20 mins.
  4. Rinse off with warm water as cream and almond oil may make your face greasy but worry not that the key to perfectly moisturizes and heal your dry skin.
  5. Apply 1-2 times a week.

  • Honey: It seals moisture and hence helps in preserving the natural moisture level of your skin.

  3. Combine mashed avocado, soaked oatmeal, turmeric, and rose water.  
  4. Make a nice and thick paste and apply it generously all over your face and neck.
  5. Leave it on the face for 20-25 mins.
  6. Wash it off with cold water, tap dry, and moisturize your face with any hydrating moisturizer.
  7. Apply 2-3 times a week.

  1. Grind or grate a cucumber and extract the juice.  
  2. Grind rice into powder
  3. Mix together turmeric, rice powder, cucumber juice, and sesame oil and make a paste.
  4. Apply all over your face and neck and keep it for 15-20 mins or until dry.
  5. Rinse off with cold water finish it off by applying cucumber juice as a toner.

How it works?

  • Cucumber: It helps aid oily and acne-prone skin. It also soothes irritation on the skin and provides a base for hydrating skin. Hence it is best for combination skin.
  • Rice Powder: It’s a good anti-inflammatory and skin brightening agent. It also has oil-absorbing properties good for oily and acne-prone skin.

4. Wild Turmeric, Yogurt, and Honey Face Mask.




  1. Combine together wild turmeric, yogurt, honey, gram flour, and rose water.
  2. Make into a thick paste and apply it evenly over your face and neck.
  3. Leave it on the face for 20-25 mins or until completely dry.
  4. Rinse it off with warm water and pat dry your face.
  5. Finish it off with any serum to avoid any irritation.

How it works?

  • Yogurt: It works great for oily skin as it contains zinc that balances oil production. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.  
  • Honey: it is a natural moisturizing agent that keeps the skin moist but not oily.  
  • Gram Flour: It helps to eliminate impurities from the skin and also absorbs excess oil and acts as a great cleanser.  
  • Rose Water: It acts as a great ingredient for oily skin due to its hydrating properties that moisturize oily skin without making it greasy and oily.  

5. Turmeric, Aloe vera, Rose Powder, and Fullers Earth Face Mask.




  1. Slit open aloe vera and cut grain size cubes of the pulp.  
  2. Mix together turmeric, aloe vera, rose powder, fullers earth, and milk and make a medium-thick paste.
  3. Apply the mixture all over your face and neck keep it for 5 mins after 5 mins rub it in an upward circular motion and exfoliate your skin with aloe vera cubes.
  4. Aloe vera cubes act as a gentle exfoliator and are not harsh on the skin which prevents acne formation as compared to cosmetic exfoliators or scrubs.
  5. After scrubbing leave it on for 15 mins and wash off with cold water.
  6. Apply 1-2 a week dor better results.

6. Turmeric and Tea Tree Oil Face Mask.




  1. Extract pulp from fresh aloe vera or use cosmetic aloe vera gel.
  2. Mix together aloe vera gel, turmeric, and a few drops of tree tea oil.  
  3. Apply all over face and parts having acne or you can opt for spot treatment with this mixture too.
  4. Let it sit for 20 mins.
  5. Wash off with warm water.  
  6. Use 3-4 times a week.  

How it works?

  • Aloe Vera:   It helps to absorb excess oil, sebum, dirt, and grime from the skin. It has hydrating properties. It has cooling and anti-inflammatory properties and also cures pimples associated with oily skin.
  • Tea Tree: it has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help cure acne. It soothes redness, inflammation, and swelling. Works great on scars and makes skin clean and smooth.

7.Peel Off Turmeric Face Mask.




  1. Microwave or melt gelatin on a double boiler with water.
  2. Mix turmeric, rosewater, and lemon juice with gelatin. Make a thin paste.
  3. Apply it all over your face with brush or fingertips be careful and avoid applying on parts near the eyebrow.
  4. Let it stay for 15-20 mins or until completely dry.
  5. Peel off the mask in an upward direction.
  6. Finish it off with rose water as a toner to avoid irritation.

  • Rose Water: It acts as a great ingredient for skin due to its hydrating properties that moisturize the skin without making it greasy and oily.  
  • Lemon: It helps in skin lightening. It contains Vitamin C which helps reduce skin damage.  

8. Turmeric Sheet Mask.




  1. Extract juice from the cucumber.
  2. Mix turmeric powder rose water and cucumber juice in a bowl.
  3. Dip a piece of compressed sheet mask capsule in the mixture, let it sit for 5 mins until totally soaked.
  4. Apply sheet mask on face and leave it for 10-15 mins.
  5. Take it off and massage face in an upward circular motion.

Have you ever thought of plundering on that bridal turmeric mask kept just for brides at Indian weddings so you get that bridal glow, well if you never got your hands on that pretty bowl of goodness worry not I have mentioned below the bridal turmeric mask that is been used by most of the Indian brides to get that divine glow just before her wedding day.  



  1. Soak almonds and poppyseeds overnight. Peel almonds and blend it with soaked poppy seeds into a smooth paste.
  2. Mix turmeric, almond and poppy seed paste, and a generous amount of almond oil.
  3. Apply over face and neck or any body part you want to polish.
  4. Scrub and rinse off with water,
  5. Store this mixture in the fridge for up to 15 days.
  6. Apply 2-3 times a week for bright polished skin.

How it works?

  • Almond: it is rich in Vitamin-E. It softens and nourishes the skin.  
  • Poppyseeds: It is rich in linolenic acid. It helps to clear skin and acts as a good moisturizer and makes skin smooth and soft.  
  • Almond Oil: it protects the skin from damage and gives a brightening look.  


  1. Be careful with selecting ingredients, use only organic and unprocessed ingredients.
